Wednesday 26th September 2007 (League Cup Qtr Final)
Celtic u13s 2 vs 3 Bransty
The U13's played an U14's team from Bransty and although the result wasn't the best, the performance was excellent. After one minute we were 0-1 down and we thought that's not good. But the Bhoys pulled together and with some great team spirit and team work Adam Telford scored 2 to get us back on equal terms. Full time arrived and extra time beckoned. With the light fading and the bats circling (we do play next to a Graveyard)Bransty got that precious goal to take them through. Well we'll say good luck to them because they're gonna need it they meet Boppa and his Bhoys in the next round. Oh yes you poor deers you've got the Celtic U14's come on the Hoops!

Celtic u13s 4 vs 0 Netherhall
The Celts went to Cleator for what on paper looked like a very difficult fixture. However it was the hoops that came out of the starting blocks the quickest and after continued pressure took an early lead. Liam Johnstone was quickest to a through ball and beat the keeper with relative ease to make it 1-0. The bhoys passing game was paying dividends and we were rewarded with Liam getting a screamer of a second. the second half started in the same way and after a fantastic run down the wing Adam Telfer made it 3. Mid-fielder Chuck Tomlinson got the fourth. Just as pleasing as scoring at one end is keeping a clean sheet at the other end. The hoops defenders and keeper were superb. Callum Gearing put in a M.O.M performance at the back.
It was a fantastic result to start the season and it is hoped we can keep it up against Mirehouse at the weekend.
