Match Reports

Tuesday 25th September 2007 (League Cup)
Workington Reds  1  vs  7  Celtic u12

Another round another win. This is short and sweet, the facts are we scored 7 they scored 1. Tom Mahone (1), Aiden Graham(2), Aiden Pirrie(2),Cole Walker-Taylor(1) and this week not forgetting Harvey Hoggarth(1). Sorry about that last report Harvey, now you've had 2 mentions in one report. A great display excellent team work.

Saturday 22nd September 2007 (County Cup)
Northbank  0  vs  11  Celtic u12

On Saturday the U12'S had an early morning start and headed North to Carlisle to play in the County Cup. It was a great performance from the bhoys whose team work was exceptional. Tom Mahone, back where the heart is, scored 4 goals, Aiden Graham 3, Aiden Pirrie 2, William King and Robbo got 1 goal each. Another great display from the goal keepers Jake Moore and Sharpey ensured we kept a clean sheet. We had great control of the ball from the kick off with Jordan Little "The General" giving out his orders and marshalling his men. The defence held strong and with good foresight allowed the ball to feed the attackers which in turn equalled goals or attempts on goal. Special mentions to everyone Josh Charlton, Tooley, Davis, Jonny Rowell, Callum Jackman, Cole Walker-Taylor and Tommy King - Great efforts from all. Big apologies to Caiomh McCool and Adam Roger who because of the County rules were unable to play. Great Team Play.

Saturday 8th September 2007
St Bees  0  vs  3  Celtic u12

Celtic got their campaign off to a fine start with a 3-0 win at St Bees. The score didn't really reflect the possession that the young hoops had and I think it is fair to say that they struggled to get the ball off the hoops. With that said St.Bees should be applauded for their never say die attitude and should do well this season. Harvey Hoggarth scored with his very first touch in a Celtic League match (should be the first of many). Tommy King has scored many goals in the hoops and he added another to make it 2-0 Cole Walker-Taylor has returned to the club and it was he who added the next. So 3 goals and a clean sheet, keep it up bhoys. Miners Welfare this week at home K.O 10.30.
