Weirside League Round-up 03/11/07
Ashbrooke Belford House entertained Hartlepool FC with the visitors going away with the three points in a 3-1 victory. Mark Green netted for the home side while Chris Archer with a brace of goals and Andrew Ross were on target for the vistors.
Cleadon SC played host to Annfield Plain at Jack Clark Park and it was the home side who produced their best display of the season winning 4-0. Michael Armstrong struck twice, one from the penalty spot with other goals coming from Nicholas Quinn and Stephen Graham.
Guisborough Black Swan entertained Easington Colliery and it was the visitors who took control, leading 2-0 at the break going on to a 4-1 victory. Chris Tarn netted a brace of goals while Chris Waller and Dean Fox scored the others, Michael Arthur netted for the home side.
Ryhope CW played host to Jarrow FC at the Colliery Welfare and it was a solitary second half strike from Steven Bagley that earned the points for Ryhope, taking them to joint top of the League.
Teesside Athletic entertained Coxhoe Athletic at Green Lane and after a goalless first half it was the home side who took control to run out 3-0 winners. Ben Walker, Andrew Bean and a Callum Revely penalty were all on target for the home side.
Willington FC played host to championship contenders New Marske at Hall Lane with the visitors coming out on top winning 3-1. Lee Tinkler was on target for the home side while Shaun Martin scored twice and Nicholas Ward converted from the penalty spot.
Harton & Westoe CW entertained East Durham United and a victory for the home side still leaves the visitors at the bottom of the league, Harton winning 2-1.
In the Shipowners Cup Cleator Moor Celtic moved into the next round with victory over Silksworth Community FC. Goals from Carl Fillingham, Gareth Evans and Zac Rudd for the home side while Gary Tyzack replied for the visitors.
Whitehaven saw off the challenge from Boldon CA with Kevin Connolly and Craig Robson on target for the home side while Michael Meek struck for the visitors.
Wolviston played host to Windscale at Metcalfe Park with the home side winning through 3-0. Goals from Ross Foreman, Stephen Kilpatrick and Jonathan French were all on target for the home side.
